History

"My father, Marinus Reijngoudt Sr., was the founder of our chicory company in Sint Philipsland. The company has now been joined by the third generation of Reijngoudts, with my daughter and son-in-law coming to work with us a few years ago. Perhaps the best decision that Reijnpack ever made – and it was a ‘first’ in the Netherlands – was to start doing the packaging ourselves, as chicory is a fragile crop. Since then, we have grown into one of the largest chicory-packaging companies in Europe.

Together with our 70 employees, we process millions of kilos of superior-quality red and white chicory every year. We deliver directly to our customers, without the intervention of an auction house or a middle-man. This is the only way that we can ensure the fresh quality and flexibility that we consider so important. This makes us unique in Europe, and we are proud of it."
